14E8 Results and a BMET Retirement

Congratulations to SMSgt(s) Bonnie Janus at Scott AFB and SMSgt(s) Curtis Miller at Joint Base Langley-Eustis! Best of luck to both as they take on greater leadership roles, both in the Air Force and the BMET career field. With a 20-year low in the Air Force SMSgt promotion rate, the BMET promotion cutoff reached an historic level. These two definitely stood out amongst the 40 eligibles!

In retirement news, CMSgt Armando Oakes, a senior member of the BMET career field, retired effective 1 April 2014 from Dyess AFB, TX where he served as the group superintendent. Thanks for 30 years service to both the Air Force and BMET community, and best of luck to you and your family in the next chapter of your life.
